About Me

I’ve been an actor for nearly three decades and I love what I do. I have a Diploma in Acting from LAMDA. While at drama school I was awarded the George Farquhar Restoration Prize and the Lally Bowers Award for Best Comedy Actress. Since graduating in 1992 I have worked extensively in all areas of the acting profession.

I’ve played leading roles at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, in the West End and at regional theatres throughout the country. I received an Ian Charleson Commendation for the role of Lady Windermere in Lady Windermere’s Fan (Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London) and was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Barclays TMA Awards for the role of Vivie in Mrs Warren’s Profession (Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester).

I’ve also clocked up frequent screen appearances – in numerous television series, in feature films and short films. Most prominently, I played William’s sister Ethel in two series of Just William for the BBC in the mid nineties. And over the last decade I’ve appeared as Rob Brydon’s wife Sally in The Trip, directed by Michael Winterbottom. The Trip to Greece airs on Sky Atlantic from March 3rd.

I’ve also enjoyed working on several television commercials and using my vocal skills in radio drama and for voiceovers.

I’ll be appearing in Love, Loss and Chianti at Riverside Studios from 25th February 2020. https://www.riversidestudios.co.uk/book/love-loss-chianti/about-the-film
